To become the leading supplier of locker solutions by changing the current perception of what is possible with a locker. To make it impossible for a guest experience-oriented venue to choose another locker solution when, Tiburon is an offered solution.

How We Started

Tiburon Lockers is the brainchild of founder and CEO, Jared Lowenthal. In 2004, frustrated on the beach in Mexico, he was forced to sit and watch his valuables while everyone else went in the ocean. His hotel room was a 20 minute walk each way from the beach. Jared asked where the pay lockers were, a question that resulted in the hotel personnel laughing at him. He decided then and there to start the ultimate rental locker company.

Jared's enthusiasm lead him into a nearly fatal mistake for his new company. He immediately went home in search of an existing electronic locker system to buy. Unfortunately, he spent nearly all his start-up money buying from an existing electronic locker supplier, who never provided a single locker and kept the money. In hindsight, this was money well spent. It refocused his vision. He decided that in order to build the best lockers and provide consistent quality as well as control Tiburon's own destiny, the lockers must be developed, owned and supported by an in-house staff of engineers.

Jared decided to combine his extensive experience in real estate and property management with his creative and entrepreneurial spirit to start Tiburon Lockers. To help make his idea of safe, secure and simple storage at beaches and beyond a reality, he recruited a multitude of seasoned business and technology professionals. It is their experience and drive that have made Tiburon what it is today, a dynamic international company with operations in the US, Mexico and beyond.

Since that day on the beach, Tiburon has become the largest revenue share locker company in the US by virtue of its offering at over 400 venues today. This was done by acquiring the oldest rental locker company in America and coupling it with the best in class technology.
