November, 2005 to present: President and Chief Executive Officer and founder of Tiburon Lockers, Inc., a company engaged in the purchase and operation of rental lockers for transportation and retail centers, resorts and other venues. Tiburon has operations in the United States and Mexico.
September 2004 to January, 2006: Ackerman Management LLC. Analyst and property underwriter for Ackerman. Reviewed and screened acquisition submissions and underwrote potential purchases. Performed analytical review and sensitivity analysis for such opportunities. Monitored asset and property management of acquisitions and developments.
Also developed new real estate and related products and services including lease-to-buy programs and home purchase options. As part of this effort he is co-sponsor, with others, of SVRE, a real estate opportunity fund.
2001-2004: Olmsted Group, LLC. Associate in a company in business development for start-ups in biotechnology, nutritional supplement standardization and other food and health related technology. Responsibilities included advice on patent protection issues and assisting the founder with raising as well as government and foundation grants. Worked with institutional investors on private placements for public companies.
2000-2001: Sunleigh PLC. Sunleigh is an English holding company that control brand-name companies including Maclaren (strollers), Ronson (cigarette lighters) and Laser (sailboats). Worked with the principal shareholder as an analyst to help with asset dispositions including real estate, product development, branding and marketing expansions. Also assisted with development of Sunleigh's internet strategy and working on-site to evaluate and implement operating efficiencies in Maclaren's UK factory.
Summers 1997-1998: Susquehanna International Group. Susquehanna is a major option and commodity trading firm in New York City. Worked on the crude oil trading floor of the New York Mercantile Exchange and participated in option analytics and structuring classes conducted for the employees.
B.A. University of Rhode Island 1999: Majored in philosophy. Interned during senior year in Washington, D.C. doing legal advocacy work with domestic violence victims. Received a community service award for service in this endeavor.
