Juan Carlos Torres heads HDN SC, the family office for the De Nicolas Family. He is also a partner of N5, S.A. de C.V. a company that since November 2007 has invested in Tiburon Lockers.
He graduated in Economics at Universidad Anahuac in Mexico City and in 1993 he earned an MBA at Pace University in New York, USA.
Juan Carlos Torres has more than 20 years of experience in Finance, having worked as CFO at Credito y Casa (mortgage bank) and Analyst, Head of Research and Chief Strategist at Santander Mexico; he also worked as trader at BCP Securities (USA).
Mr. Torres is one of the founders of HITO S.A.P.I de C.V. and was also its chairman from November 2006 until June 2009. HITO was formed in 2005 to provide intermediary services to sofoles, sofomes, banks and other mortgage institutions.
Mr. Torres has also acted as Board Member for Desarrolladora Homex, S.A. de C.V. (NYSE: HXM), a Leading Mexican Homebuilder; BanCoppel, S.A. (Bank), Credito y Casa Mortgage Bank; Finutil, a company dedicated to provide consumer credit; Fondo Sinaloa, a private equity; KW Entertainment S.A.P.I., a private TV channel; Centros de Conocimiento Tecnologico S.A. de C.V., a new technology oriented school system; and also at Instituto Chapultepec (private schools).
